jyotisha.jpg

Jyotisha comes from two sanskrit words, Jyotir - meaning light and Isha - meaning lord. Therefore it is the practice of bringing light into one's life. It is the acknowledgement that G-d created everything, the cells in our body and the planets and stars above our head alike. Through this acknowledgement we remember that we are a part of a greater pattern, a pattern which we have largely forgotten. Jyotisha is the remembering of this pattern. Through the ancient study of where the planets were when you were born (natal chart) we gain an understanding of where you fit into the larger pattern. Most important we see when phases of life begin and end, when windows of life open and close, and how to maximize these phases for peace, health and purpose.
